Seam Rippers Club

About Us

Crafters Threaded By Service

Jenn Dellow

I love the joy that crafting brings out in people. In my work, there is nothing more satisfying. In both the local sewing and knitting communities, I've been connecting and volunteering for over a decade. It's only recently that I've been able to turn my passion for sewing into a business through Spool & Spindle Printshop! I try to help sewists' hard work come out a success through quality A0 pattern printing.

It may surprise you to learn I am also a daily cyclist, avid bike polo player, passionate knitter, and budding computer programmer.

Funny story: when we were thinking about naming this service "The Seam Rippers Club", Twist suggested Rippers as shorthand for our members. I immediately loved it! This is the best roller derby name for us, perfect for sewists. I just about fell on the floor laughing!

This was how I knew working together on The Seam Rippers Club was meant to be.

While my first love as a professional is public speaking, there is nothing quite like crafting a handmade gift for those I love — especially when it comes to my five nieces and nephews!

I wasn't always a sewist — although I tried really, reeeaaallly, hard to be one as early as eight years old, when my cousin first took me to a sewing class. As a teen, I created a fantastic interpretation of a lap quilt in the form of a pillow (quarter-inch seams and I just could not see needle eye-to-needle eye back then), and no — there will not be pictures.

After some years of toying, something clicked, and for my 40th birthday, my whole family chipped in to get me a serger. Since then, my foot's never been off the pedal, and I've never looked back. The love that flows into making handmade gifts for those in my life has never, ever, been more fulfilling.

A Spool With a Twist

Jenn and Twist go way back. So far in fact, that Twist used to be a Spool & Spindle customer!

When working with someone who is both a fellow sewist and a businesswoman, ideas and shared notions start to form. This is how The Seam Rippers Club came to fruition: There are plenty of options for tracking your projects and supplies! There are plenty of places to connect with other sewists! Why the heck isn't there a space that combines both?!

Soon, worlds collided in a beautiful cascade of all things business and sewing — Jenn and Twist decided to collaborate on creating a space that offered everything above, and more!
