The Seam Rippers Club is a community for everyone who loves fabric. That means you: you are welcome here, and we are so happy to have you join us!
You must be over 13 years of age to create an account.
These guidelines apply to all sections of the Seam Rippers Club site, including but not limited to private projects and collections, public comments and reviews, and the forum.
We expect everyone to treat each other with respect, but we will not tolerate intolerance. This includes intentional misinformation, conspiracy theories, and targeted attacks on any person or group of people. Expressing views that are hateful or harmful to others will get you banned.
Hate speech includes sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, body shaming, ableism, or other derogatory treatment of a group of people. It includes support for public figures who express such views.
Harassment includes repeated derogatory comments in response to or referring to another person or group.
Because we are sewing garments, we often post pictures of ourselves or other people wearing them. While commenting and complimenting others on their makes is great, keep comments on people’s bodies to yourself.
Comments about a person’s size, gender presentation, advice to change their body, or insults of any kind will be removed, and the commenter may be banned.
Our platform is for sharing garment photos, which sometimes results in pictures that are NSFW (not safe for work) or not appropriate for younger readers.
However, gratuitous nudity or pornography are not allowed, and photos may be removed at the admins' discretion.
Spamming and cross-posting to multiple threads will result in a ban.
Promotion of non-profit or commercial organizations is only allowed in specified forum threads. Unless a thread’s description specifically allows promotions or asks a question that your company/product/service can help answer, they are not allowed, and will be removed.
Any comments, notes, or posts that you write on the Seam Rippers Club may be public to any other Seam Rippers Club member.
The exception to that is all contents in a Project that you create and set to Private.
You will not share private communications with other members without their permission. The only exception to this is sharing messages with an Admin or Moderator, to report a violation of these guidelines.
